Wood Blinds
Traditional wood blinds are still the standard. While these blinds are great for just about any home, there are some advantages and disadvantages:Advantages: Sturdy; which allows for less ladders, a cleaner look and less chance of breaking. Won’t fade under the constant pressure of sunlight. Have a natural warmth to them that can’t be matched.
Disadvantages: Cost; which can deter many people, especially families with small children. Moisture; like all wood products, wood blinds will absorb more moisture than their non-wood counterparts.

Faux Wood Blinds
Recently, Faux Wood Blinds have become increasingly popular. Customer get the same wood look and feel, without the all of the cost.Advantages: Cost; because they are made of manufactured materials, they are inexpensive. They also won’t absorb as much moisture as wood blind, causing them to warp less.
Disadvantages: Flimsy; these blinds won’t hold up to as much of a beating as wood blinds, but will be cheaper to repair. Also, since they are heavier than wood, they require more ladders, so they won’t have as clean of a look.

Sometimes standard blinds just aren’t enough. If you have a slider, Vertical Blinds are the best option for you. Currently, all of our customer vertical blinds are Faux Wood and therefore share the same advantages and disadvantages.Colors*:
